I dealt with something similar. Except with my father. Eventually i went to therapy. He said that if youre mourning longer than 6 months, you might need professional help

My therapist got mad at me for still grieving only three months later. I stopped seeing him and I'm still apprehensive about going to see anyone.

It took me 6 tries to find the guy I'm with now. Things like that take time. It's inconvenient and it sucks, but if you're serious about getting help, then itll be worth it
